Chris Johnson: Let’s get Alzheimer’s to the finish line!

“Finding treatments and a cure for Alzheimer’s is like running a marathon.  We can walk and eventually get there, or we can work as hard and fast as possible and get it done NOW.  Let’s work together – let’s get this disease to the finish line.” – Chris Johnson

My name is Chris Johnson.  I am 31 years old and the proud son of legendary New York Giants running back, Ron Johnson.  My father was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s in 2008 and his disease is rapidly progressing.

Alzheimer’s is stealing a lifetime of memories and achievement away from my family, but I know it doesn’t have to be this way.  For my father, my family, for me; for your father or mother, for your family, for you, I am asking you to help me help the ADDF find treatments and a cure for Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.

Run with me in the race against Alzheimer’s by making a donation today.

On September 29, I will run the BMW Berlin Marathon, and on October 27 I am competing in the Ironman 70.3 Miami.  Finally, it all comes home on November 3 when I will run the 2013 ING NYC Marathon.  I am running to support ADDF in running Alzheimer’s right out of town!

I hope you will join me.  Your support from last year helped raise $85,000 - funding almost an entire pre-clinical trial for drug discovery.  Get inspired with this video capturing my running efforts last year.
