A STORY OF COURAGE...

Travis and Mark are no strangers to the World’s Toughest Race Eco-Challenge where athletes compete in grueling marathons of trekking, climbing, biking, and paddling through the jungle. But in 2018, as they prepared for their next Eco-Challenge in Fiji, Travis’s father, Mark Macy was given a devastating diagnosis of early onset Alzheimer’s. At the time he was 64 years old.

Despite the diagnosis they were determined to compete. Together they would go on to compete in the seven-day, 400-mile harrowing race which was likely Mark’s final Eco-Challenge.
