Assistant Director for Development

Allison Sawczyn is responsible for assisting the Executive Vice President with all matters of enhancing strategic planning initiatives, including board development, marketing campaigns, and fundraising-with an emphasis on corporate and major gifts.

Prior to joining the ADDF, Ms. Sawczyn spent six years working in the Development offices of The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the American Museum of Natural History, respectively, specializing in corporate sponsorships.

Ms. Sawczyn is an accomplished fundraiser, whose focus on engaging corporations, major gifts, boards of trustees, and VIP membership groups has lended an expertise towards cultivating and stewarding up to multi-million dollar grants from Fortune 500 companies and individuals.  Previous to this, Ms. Sawczyn worked for several years for the Forbes family, overseeing a myriad of curatorial, advertising, and licensing projects for their private art collection and acting as external liasion with Forbes Magazine’s constituents for the purpose of business development.

Beginning her career working in the press office of Sotheby’s in London, England, Ms. Sawczyn was granted a BS with honors in Organizational Communication, Learning, and Design with a concentration in Advertising, Public Relations, and Art History from the Roy H. Park School of Communications, Ithaca College.
