Assistant Director for Institutional Partnerships

Filomena Machleder performs essential fundraising and editorial functions for the organization in her role as Assistant Director of Institutional Partnerships. Ms. Machleder’s primary responsibility is to raise funds from corporate, foundation and government sources. She also serves as the project manager, research and co-writer for various health initiatives in conjunction with the Executive Director Dr. Howard Fillit. In addition, she organizes two international scientific conferences each year and manages the scientific department publicity and communications.

Ms. Machleder brings deep and broad editorial and analytical experience to her responsibilities at ADDF. Prior to joining ADDF, Ms. Machleder was a grant writer for The Cooper Union. She also worked as a writer and researcher at the corporate due diligence firm BackTrack Reports (now First Advantage Investigative Services). Ms. Machleder began her career as a journalist for the Bergen Record and the Portuguese Post (both in New Jersey). She has also written for several lifestyle magazines. She holds an MA in English Literature and a BA in both English Literature and Journalism from Rutgers University.
