Assistant Director for Special Events

Katharine Polidori is responsible for collaborating with the Executive Vice President and the development department on the planning and execution of all events, including overall objectives, target audience, appropriate programming, and leadership/committee development.

Prior to joining the ADDF, Ms. Polidori managed events for AllianceBernstein L.P., a Fortune 500 company specializing in asset management. While working at AllianceBernstein, Ms. Polidori was responsible for planning and executing a wide range of events, including client conferences, internal trainings, board retreats, road shows, team building activities, and an annual Principals’ Gala.

Before her work in corporate and non-profit events, Ms. Polidori began her marketing career in opinion research for political campaigns and special interest groups. Following this, Ms. Polidori went to work for the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO), where she was responsible for coordinating business development trainings for executive officers at colleges and universities. Ms. Polidori had a wide array of internship experiences, including the Peace Corps Headquarters and the Women’s Caucus at the Boston State House, and has lived and studied abroad in Italy and Costa Rica. She has a great understanding of the big picture and an extensive knowledge of putting details together with flawless precision.

Ms. Polidori has gained experience in special events in Washington, DC, Los Angeles, and New York City. She grew up outside of Boston, Massachusetts and earned her BA in Political Science from Trinity University in San Antonio,Texas.
