Biotechnology Grant Programs

The Biotechnology Founder's Program invests in new start-up biotechnology companies dedicated to developing novel pharmaceuticals for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease and cognitive aging. The funding is provided through program-related investments (PRIs) that require return on investment based upon scientific and/or business milestones.

The Biotechnology Development Program provides early stage biotechnology companies with funding for specific research programs related to cognitive aging and Alzheimer's disease. Grants are provided through two funding vehicles: PRIs and recoverable grants.

How to apply

To begin the application procedure, applicants are required to complete an electronic "Letter of Intent." After review and approval of the "Letter of Intent," we will invite a full application, whereupon the applicant will be sent an email with a link to the electronic application form. In addition, one hard copy of all materials with original signatures should be mailed to:

James Keller
Grants Manager
Institute for the Study of Aging and the Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation
1414 Avenue of the Americas, Suite 1502
New York, NY 10019

Once we have received the electronic and hard copies of the application, the scientific review process will begin. The review process is expected to take about three months. Updates on the status of your application will be available during the course of the review process by inquiries with our scientific staff.

If a "Letter of Intent" is not consistent with our mission, we will send a declination email explaining why we cannot invite an application at this time.

Please be advised that your application must be received within 30 days of receipt of the invitation.
