Lauder, the Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation is dedicated to rapidly accelerating the discovery of drugs to prevent, treat and cure Alzheimer's disease. Position Summary:

The Sr. Manager, Philanthropy Operations will be responsible for the overall management and direction of the information and technology needs for the ADDF Philanthropy and External Affairs functions. The successful candidate will serve as a point person and manager, evaluating operations, analyzing data and information, and recommending solutions to help achieve strategic objectives and fundraising goals. She/he will oversee the management of the entire database, including data quality and software applications for analysis, integration with the ADDF website, communication, and reporting to support Philanthropy staff and other partners. The Sr. Manager will work closely with the Philanthropy and External Affairs team to understand data and technology needs, provide training, and work to improve data access and functionality.

Placement:

The Sr. Manager reports directly to the Senior Director, Philanthropy and will supervise the Development Coordinator, as well as the annual summer intern. This position is based in our midtown Manhattan, NY office and is hybrid. This is a full-time exempt position. L4 – Salary range: $100-110k

Key Responsibilities:

Systems and Database Management

  • Lead and coordinate database administration, constituent records, gift processing, reporting and documentation, and related technology support, ensuring that all systems and business practices effectively support the ADDF and its internal and external constituents
  • Create, maintain, and improve data transfer systems between Raiser’s Edge, online fundraising, web applications, and email platforms
  • Manage credit card merchant processors and PCI compliance requirements
  • Analyze current and emerging trends in information and technology solutions and provide strategic approaches to improve the current and future Philanthropy operations activities
  • Maintain the overall quality and integrity of the Raiser’s Edge database, including working with support staff to troubleshoot problems with the database and stay current with updates to the data
  • Recommend innovative short- and long-term solutions to Philanthropy operations that will contribute to increased efficiency, accuracy, and access to meaningful datas
  • Create data analyses and reports for Philanthropy and Finance teams and senior leadership to track progress against goals and identify significant trends (e.g. average gift, donor churn, corporate partner revenue results by industry, affinity group giving, etc.)
  • Responsible for managing the request and delivery of data to internal and external partners. Includes mailing lists, prospecting requests, patient imports, and NCOA data changes. Proactively seeks ways to provide self-service solutions.
  • Maintain clean and accurate data that can be used for gift processing, event management, moves management, and relationship building
  • Coordinate with Blackbaud and IT consultants as needed to ensure proper maintenance, software updates, and back-ups are occurring
  • Prepare mailing lists for events, appeals, and e-communications
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5-8 years’ experience in managing a complex database
  • Advanced working knowledge of Raiser's Edge and related CRM platforms
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of fundraising principles and best practices
  • Comfortable engaging with donors and organizational leadership
  • Demonstrated organizational and planning skills; strong follow-up and follow-through to ensure personal, team, and organizational objectives
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and a high degree of accuracy in donor records
  • Aptitude for management and effective use of information systems in support of a Philanthropy program
  • Initiative and independence in carrying out responsibilities
  • Strong self-motivation and the ability to work as a team member; entrepreneurial and positive spirit
